Bamboo Linen Shirt
The warp uses regenerated fiber "bamboo rayon," made by dissolving bamboo into yarn, while the weft uses linen. This fabric is slowly and densely woven on a shuttle loom, which is rare worldwide.
Enshu textiles are characterized by their soft, gentle texture and the natural, honest expression of the material itself. The fabric production using old-fashioned shuttle looms is still carried on today, and the process of "slowly and carefully weaving" that has been passed down through generations, avoids putting unnecessary stress on the yarn, creating a natural fullness and pleasant feel against the skin.
Because the machines are old, they require meticulous inspection and many manual processes by skilled craftsmen. Although not as efficient as modern machinery, they create a soft and rich texture that brings out the inherent character of the yarn.
