This fabric is made from bamboo rayon in the warp and linen in the weft, slowly and carefully woven in Enshu on an old-fashioned shuttle loom.
By carefully weaving the threads without applying unnecessary stress, we bring out a natural fullness and a soft, gentle texture.
The scraps created when making the Bamboo Linen Shirt are used for full-surface sashiko embroidery. By layering the rich expression inherent in the material with traces of handwork, each piece has a unique and profound appearance.
