The garment is made from vibrantly colored, moderately thick denim woven in Fukuyama, a famous denim production area, and embroidered with scraps of fabric that were generated during the manufacturing process. Disassembled parts and scraps of deadstock Fukuyama denim pants are also used throughout the garment.
The buttons are rare vintage buttons made from Takase pearl, black butterfly pearl, and brown butterfly pearl, and although asymmetrical, they also have the dignity of a dress shirt.
From pattern design to sewing and buttonhole finishing, every step is done by hand.

Sashiko Denim Shirt
One of a kind.
Crafted from vividly dyed, medium-weight denim woven in Fukuyama—one of Japan’s most renowned denim-producing regions—this shirt incorporates sashiko stitching made from fabric offcuts generated during the production process.
Throughout the garment, you’ll also find elements repurposed from dismantled deadstock denim trousers, as well as their leftover fragments, all sourced from the same Fukuyama-made denim.
The shirt is finished with rare vintage buttons in Takase shell, black mother-of-pearl, and brown mother-of-pearl. While asymmetrical in design, it retains the refined presence of a classic dress shirt.
From pattern making and sewing to the hand-finished buttonholes, every step of the process is carried out meticulously by hand.
